January 13
We had a pretty drive to church on Sunday morning. You can see a bit of our church building on the upper right.
A few notes from our sermon by Dave Wenger
How Many Ways Are There to God?
Our minds are continually searching for answers to life, like, how and why am I here?
It is important to be looking for God
However, beware of the many religions, beliefs, and isms:
Scientism, Pluralism, Humanism, Realism, Heathenism, Realism, Atheism, to mention just a few – plus all the world religions.
Some believe there are many ways to God
Many believe we don’t need God, we can think for ourselves.
Others believe, “What is truth for you may not be truth for me.”
If you do not invite God into your life, life will be confusing
Religions change – God does not.
Most religions and isms include partial truths.
Do you want to follow partial truth?
Who wants to stand before God at the end of life and say, I never cared enough to be a truth seeker?
Beware of people teaching “another gospel”.
Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 King James Version
Jesus is the only one who can save people. His name is the only power in the world that has been given to save anyone. We must be saved through him!” Acts 4:12 Easy-to-Read Version .
