During a morning conversation, my sister, Nancy, and I discovered we were both hungry for pork and sauerkraut, so Cerwin and I took them out for an early lunch – a get-well-gift to them as Marlin is recently home from a hospital stay due to heart issues. Doctors concluded that open heart is too risky for him.
We went to Gus’s in Akron and enjoyed meeting Gus and his son who were visiting each table and wishing their guests a Happy New Year.
Our guys do not share our enjoyment of pork and sauerkraut and got other meals. (I think Marlin is ok with it, but chose a salad due to a low salt and sodium diet.)
Pray for Marlin as doctors schedule a date for radiation treatment in a Washington DC hospital – a procedure that should limit the blockage in his heart.
Your sister and brother-in-law will remain in my thoughts — hopefully the procedure will be successful!
Thank you.
I love sauerkraut with mashed potatoes.
Prayers for Marlin. Know what it’s like to deal with heart issues.
That’s right, you do know about heart issues.
