Saturday Morning, December 29
We arrived at the Activity Center at Manheim Brethren In Christ Church to a beautifully decorated room – due to a lot of great creative work by Jere and Kristen.
The Hershey family involves my siblings and their children and grandchildren.
Kristen and Jere doing some last minute prep.
Putting napkins and plastic ware on the table.
My brother Dale and niece Karen. Karen and her sisters Melissa and Amy are part of the host team who put the brunch menu together.
Two of Kevin and Amy’s girls – Lindsey and Heidi – playing air hockey.
Jared and Ian playing pool and Dot and Jesse playing ping pong as we waited for people to arrive.
Our contribution is the coffee and mocha punch. I made the four batches of mocha punch mix at home the day before – then all I had to do at the brunch was add two containers of ice cream (half vanilla and half chocolate) to each. Cerwin oversees the coffee.
The first of four batches of mocha punch. There was very little left over.
Cousins: Kyle and Lindsey blocking Isaac from getting to where he thought he was going.
Kylee, Heidi, Lindsey, and Isaac.
Jana, Jere, Chelsey (Isaac’s mom), Karen and Jared (Isaac’s dad).
Be still my heart! Our sweet great-granddaughter, Jade, just arrived – and was quickly captured by her grandpa – our son Jeff.
More about the brunch in my next post.
It seems like such a short time since my children were little, and now they are grandparents. Amazing! You must feel the same way.
I do feel the same way. Even most of our grandchildren are grown.
