We received this really neat puzzle from Mark and Diane at our family’s Christmas celebration.
Diane is good at finding unique items for gifts.
She, Josiah, Abby, and Lydia put much of it together while we were in Florida – Cerwin helped on the evening we returned. I placed exactly one piece. When I mentioned that at supper tonight, Josiah said that was what he placed – one piece.
It’s made from a map of the roads near us.
It was fun looking for roads in our neighborhood.
The location of our house is a house-shaped puzzle piece. You can see that we live at the base of a mountain and near the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
I think now that it is finished, I will glue it and get it framed.
What a fun gift — but Diane should have let you put it together! That sort of personalized gift is such fun to find for people! π
It was fun helping. She said if I want to put it together, I can take it apart and do it again. π
Of course you can — and I like the idea of framing it. Perhaps you could put it together on some sort of sticky paper to make the gluing process easier ~ ~ ~
I think I am going to slide it onto cardboard before gluing it.
That’s a great idea!
