We brought TFC’s Mobile Chapel to Bucks Montgomery’s Truck Show and Dinner Concert yesterday, planning to stay on the chapel overnight because it is usually 10 pm before we can close the chapel and we have a two-hour drive home. More than that because of taking the chapel to the Marietta Office, then getting in our car and driving home.
However, the engine stop light came on last night when Cerwin went to position the rig for easy exit from the restaurant this morning.
Nothing changed overnight, so we are stranded in this very comfortable parking spot.
We are in a restaurant parking lot across the street from a truck garage that opens at 6 am on Monday morning. The generator works, which means we have electricity in the chapel and a comfortable place to relax.
During lunch in the restaurant, a TFC friend – who lives in a senior living community – came by and was surprised that we are still here. He was at the banquet last night. We told him and after a short conversation, he went to his seat at the counter.
After the waiter brought our bill, Roscoe came to our table like he had a question and snatched our bill. He said you have enough expenses. I will pay this.
After lunch Cerwin walked over to the truck garage so he knows where to take the truck in the morning.
Life is good even when a bit inconvenient.
At least you have food and a truck garage — what more could you need?! How frustrating!
Yes.
I like your glass-half-full outlook!
It’s the best way to live.
