Friday Evening, September 14

Cerwin and I chose a restaurant where we rarely go to eat – Greenfield Restaurant, Lancaster, PA. After making the choice, we thought, “We don’t have to eat alone, because we are usually alone.”

It is not quite like when we had young children and needed an evening out alone, so we contacted our children and grandchildren to whom we owed 2018 birthday meals. It suited Jeff and Chris (for Jeff’s birthday) and Roy and Deb (for Deb’s birthday).

We were seated in a quiet corner of one of the rooms. Me, Cerwin, Roy, Deb, Chris, and Jeff.

My South African lobster. It was delicious, but not as sweet as Maine lobster.

When we go out for a special meal, I usually choose lobster or another kind of seafood and Cerwin chooses steak. 🙂

We choose fried ice cream for dessert.

The waiter was aware of our anniversary, so the ice cream came with a candle. 🙂

Chris’ dessert choice is often chocolate – and she didn’t disappoint on this special evening. 🙂

The restaurant looked beautiful when we walked toward our cars.

As we talked, someone noticed that the restaurant’s name was projected on the side of the building.

Our gift from Roy and Deb was a bouquet of beautiful flowers.

We had a great evening.
