Jere and Cerwin went to Baltimore Airport to pick up the box of trophies from their African hunt in early March.
Josh was on his way home from work, so we waited for him to help unload the box.
There was some interesting paperwork from South Africa.
Everything was well packed and padded.
The two nyala, warthog, and impala
Everything was well attached to the wooden box.
Removing Ian’s Impala
I do not have a photo of Jere, Ian, and Jared’s nyala, impala or warthog after they were put on a wall, but I do have a picture of Cerwin’s pretty nyala.
I love seeing it in our garage each day and being reminded of our fabulous trip.
The African taxidermist did a great job in preserving the animals.
Oh, my — how beautiful! And what wonderful memories of your superb trip! Mr. Nyala appears to have square antlers — is that true, or is it an illusion of the photography?
They are round with a twist and then as you can see, with a point at the top.
Looking again, I think I’m seeing shadows on the wall behind the antlers. My eye is still recovering, and I see some things well but not so much the fine details yet. That will come!
