We arrived at Oregon Dairy Restaurant early, so I took time to go outside to the children’s and family area. I have eaten there many times, but have never explored this area.
The deer are a nice attraction.
The fawns are so cute.
Before long the Sauder cousins began arriving. I think there were 22.
After our orders were placed, Larry led us in a song of prayer and praise before our food arrived.
We had a great time of fellowship – plus a time of sharing family health concerns and prayer requests.
On the way home we stopped at Landis Homes to visit Cerwin’s Uncle John Sauder who is 102 1/2.
He is quite healthy and fun to visit.
He told us that he was thinking it was soon time for Cerwin and Doris to come for a visit. 🙂
He used to own a coal business, so Cerwin likes to tell him truck stories. He often has some of his own stories about trucking in the “old” days.
He still walks – with a walker – but usually uses his “scooter” for getting around.
I love the fawns! What a wonderful life Uncle John has had!
Yes and yes.
Looks like fun and good memories. We have some Sauder furniture. I wonder if there is a connection?
They could be related – but probably many generations ago.
that baby fawn! oh my ~ <3
