We had rain every day this week – Saturday through Friday – except yesterday. By this evening Cerwin estimates that we had about ten inches of rain in the past seven days. There were other areas that had much more.
There have been many flooded roads and houses with water in their basements. Thankfully our elevation is high enough that we did no experience water in our house.
It was a good week for our crepe myrtle bush to begin blooming.
Notice anything different between this photo – taken today – and photo #3 taken on Sunday.
I can promise you that the grass in our yard is no longer getting brown.
My goodness that’s a lot of rain in a short time! If I stick out my tongue, do you suppose I could taste just one drop?!
I would love to give you a “taste” of our rain.
Oh for just one good day of rain in California to damp the wild fires!
We pray that you would get rain in your area. Seeing the fires is so devastating.
Send it our way – we sure need it with all the fire – the Crawston fire is just to the east of us.
