Saturday Evening, July 21, and Sunday Morning, July 22
It was delightful to spend a few hours with our friends Peggy and Clayton – from Indiana – as they traveled home from a vacation to the northeast. Places like Maine, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
It was kind of spur-of-the-moment after Peggy texted me on Thursday evening asking if we could get together on Saturday evening. We were expecting other over-night guests, so supper was the only thing that worked out. Then our other guests had to cancel, so I was able to offer Clayton and Peggy our guest room. 🙂
We decided to take them to Cat’s Meow in Manheim to show them a bit of our town.
After I took the previous picture, a lady at the next table said, “Would you like a picture that includes you. It seems like all four of you should be on the picture.” That was thoughtful.
Cerwin wasn’t real hungry because of having a nice meal at the Maple Grove Truck Show – provided by Peterbilt – so just got potato skins.
This photo does not adequately display the size of Clayton’s salad. It was huge.
Peggy got soup and egg rolls.
I had soup and bruschetta – the best bruschetta I have ever eaten.
A photo on the porch of the restaurant.
Peggy also wanted one of us and sent it to me by email.
Breakfast on Sunday morning.
We sat around our table on Saturday evening – enjoying ice cream and catching up on each others lives. About 9:00 PM we decided that we better not start discussing another subject as we were getting up early so they could leave the house by 8:00 AM to go to a church in Chambersburg.
I learned to know Peggy many years ago when we both blogged on Xanga. We occasionally meet in their area or ours and seem to pick up where we left off the time before. 🙂
It’s great that you got to spend time together. Wish I could have been there.
It would have been fun to have you here too. 🙂
It’s great to see the four of you together! That looks like a wonderful supper, and I’m sure the conversation was active too!
We joked that we could talk endlessly. 🙂
We do all seem to talk non-stop! ? We so enjoyed our time together!
It was delightful.
