From Wikipedia: Forsythia is a genus of flowering plants in the olive family Oleaceas. There are about 11 species, mostly native to eastern Asia, but one native to southeastern Europe. Forsythia is also one of the plants common names, along with Easter tree. The genus is named after William Forsyth.
We have a fairly small forsythia bush that is not as pretty as others I have seen, but we enjoy the bright yellow flowers each springtime.
