I enjoyed watching a squirrel crawling out on a limb to get shellbark nuts.
Because of the morning sun, the photo came out like a silhouette.
Look at the three different positions of its tale. You can tell it knew I was watching. Its tail was constantly twitching.
A bit later it was on the ground getting the nuts that dropped.
A starling and dove were also feeding on the ground.
This blue jay alternated between getting a sunflower seed and breaking it open.
I took these pictures for our daughter Diane so she can see what is happening to the suet ring she gave me.
I expect it won’t be long before it falls apart and lands on the ground.
