This has been a most unusual summer in our area with a downpour almost every week – sometimes more than once a week.
As a result, fields are filled with tall corn, beans, potatoes, soybeans – whatever the farmers are growing.
Yards are green and need mowing every week – sometimes twice a week.
We feel incredibly blessed.
We’ve had more rain than usual here too, which has been great for the new little trees planted out front.
I thought it seemed that your area was also receiving rain.
You are blessed — we have had no rain since the one heavy-rain day in the spring! Last week one day there was a little mist that spritzed for a few minutes, but otherwise it’s been dry, but with humid air. Your yard and the fields look wonderfully nice and green! I hope the farmers do well this year!
I think of you every time it rains here and wish we could share it with you.
Thank you so much — as long as we get some rain in the winter, that’s pretty normal — we just haven’t had any for several winters!
We have had a dry summer. But in the last 24 hours we got 1 1/2 inches PTL! We only had to mow part of the yard 2 weeks ago. Rain barrels are full again
Oh, wow. I expect your fields and gardens are suffering from that.
True. We have carried a lot of water.
