We were invited to Jere and Kristen’s for lunch to welcome home Ian and Jared from the school/science trip to Jackson Hole (Tetons), Wyoming, and say goodbye to Jana who was leaving on a two-week backpacking missions trip to Europe.
Hamburger fixings
Flowers from Jana to her mom – a goodbye gift.
Another gift of flowers
If I remember correctly, these were from Roy and Deb.
While waiting for lunch to be ready I walked out to see the chickens in their new fenced-in yard.
The peeps are really growing. The last time I saw them they were yellow fluff balls.
They were still too small to be in their fenced-in yard, but enjoyed this small pen.
After Roy and Deb arrived, he sat at the boys table – calling it the VIP table.

Being silly
This one will go on my refrigerator!

Ian getting his and Jared’s trip pictures set up.
He did a great job of photographing their trip.
Jared didn’t want to be bothered with a camera, but did a good job of helping Ian narrate their trip.
When the trip pictures were finished, Jere showed us a short clip of a DHIA PowerPoint video.
The traveling boys – Ian and Jared – were in Wyoming with teachers and schoolmates for one week.
I love – love – seeing pictures and hearing about our children and grandchildren’s trips and experiences.

If you follow my blog, you know I post pictures as I get to them – by date. By today’s post – August 5 – Jana’s team has only a few days left in Europe. They were in Switzerland today. If you want to follow her trip, you can read about it at this Facebook link – https://www.facebook.com/pg/Live1027Ministries/posts/?ref=page_internal or you can learn about 1027 Ministries at http://live1027ministries.weebly.com/.
I am so anxious to see her again and hear about her trip – and the experiences of challenging those she met to think about the life they are living.
Jackson Hole is a wonderful place — though I’m not sure I would have thought of it for a science field trip! And I hope that Jana has been having a great time — I’m sure you’ve kept up witih her through FB and the website! I’ll look forward to hearing about her trip too! And what a nice sendoff/welcome home party!
They did a lot of study on the terrain. There is a science school near the Tetons.
Looking at the pictures again, I can see some of that science in the geology and biology of the area! It looks wonderful! And the chickens seemed to line up for dinner as well! This is a fun post!
