Saturday, July 22 – 5th Annual Keystone Diesel Nationals
These two visited the chapel shortly after we opened the door – before I had the inside of the chapel set up. The driver brought his neighbor boy to the show – who dreams of being a trucker.
It always looks “setup”, but we put the literature (Bibles, New Testaments, and tracts) in drawers and cupboards when we travel.
After I was finished with the set up, I took a walk around the grounds to see the beautiful trucks while Cerwin and Jake stayed with the chapel.
This beautiful tractor was parked next to us (notice the chapel in the background.)
It was an advertisement for Denver Truck Painting – who also painted the tractor on the chapel.
These trucks were also advertising a paint shop. (I forget the name.)
Kenworth vendor spot.
I am always attracted to the “rust” section.
Looking good in the early morning sun.
Looking toward the chapel from the other side of the fence. It looks like Jake is visiting with Don Hollinger. I expect Cerwin is in the chapel with a visitor.
We are given a great spot – just in side the gate where we can watch the trucks arriving and leaving.
Lineup of trucks arriving through the gate next to the chapel.
I was fascinated by the hearts on this truck and the black one next to it.
The hearts didn’t show up on the black truck from this angle, so I tried another.
I waited awhile for this shot – for the breeze to stop so the flag hung straight.
Some year I am going to pay for a ride on this critter.
More tomorrow night.
So many beautiful trucks!
The morning sun highlighted their beauty.
