Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1
It was a week after our Truck Rally and I was getting caught up on Rally reports for the International Office.
Somehow the rain was good therapy for my body, soul, and spirit – following a busy and fun series of weeks.
Several weeks ago our grandson Ian asked me how my summer was going. I said, “Just like your summer begins when school is over, my summer begins about a week after Truck Rally – when I have time to thoroughly relax and enjoy the beauty of summer.”
That is what it felt like the weekend after Truck Rally.
Oh, the beauty of summer rain.
The next day – Saturday – it happened again. I actually had time to watch the rain approach – across the southern fields.
Then it was upon us…
…full force – like someone had dumped a very large bucket of water on us.
It was over quickly and I was able to go outside and enjoy the rainy, wet beauty.
This wasn’t from the rain, but from…
…Cerwin washing our RAV4 – just after the rain. 🙂
It’s so much fun to watch the rain come from a distance. That happened a lot in Africa. We could see the rain across the field, then we knew it was time to run outside and close the wooden shutters (we had screens, but no glass.)
Fun and refreshing.
Your photographs capture the blessing rain is.
Thanks. Then I did this job well. 🙂
What a beautiful post — I can imagine running outside to play in the rain and admire its aftermath!
It was especially delightful as I was barefooted.
Ooh, yes!
Lovely pictures ~ we have had an abundance of rain here ~ many places are flooded, but most of it has skirted by us ~
Then you probably have a lot of lush green grass.
