New York City and Hollywood – Fall 1930

Anthony, Avie, and Kate grew up on the streets of New York City

They – especially the girls dreamed of making it big in Hollywood.

Seize the Day

Kate, Anthony, and Avie as young adults

Avie is discovered by a talent scout

She is excited until she learns that he is not interested in the sisters as a duo.

How can she explain that to Kate

Audition: These guys were so cute and purposefully bad.

Telling Kate that she was going to Hollywood without her did not go over well.

Anthony and Kate continue living on the street.

Meanwhile Avie – became Avalon – and was climbing in popularity.

After a period of time, things were not going well.

Back on the streets of New York, Kate learns that Anthony is dying.

That is how Act 1 closed – with the death of Anthony
