Friday and Saturday, September 23 & 24
Several people are checking out which meals are still available.
Prior to the auction, hostesses sign up to prepare meals, sometimes by saying what they will prepare, the date, and how many they will serve. On BDRA Friday and Saturday, people can sign up for a meal by paying $20.00 per person to go to the house of the host/hostess on the date they list.
This is where you can get information about helping/volunteering with Brethren Disaster Response Ministries.
There is a large children’s store.
Or maybe you would rather purchase something at the Farmer’s Market.

My friend Lorraine was manning this table when I was there with my camera. I love Shuey’s pretzels, but bought some olive bread from her.
There are tables full of delicious-looking breads, cakes, and pies.
As I was trying to fight the glare of cake and pie plate covers – and mentioned that it would be nice to be able photograph one without a cover…
…a woman offered to uncover the one she was purchasing. 🙂
Doran had been handcrafting potholders for this benefit auction since 1972. The sign says that he has sold more than 10,000.

Wow — that’s a lot of baking in a short time! The baked goods look delicious, too, as do the flowers and the veggies!
It is certainly a fun room to visit.
