Because of other responsibilities, I missed the actual auctions, but I did get pictures of some of the items that were for sale.
The Children’s Auction and Theme Basket Auction are held in East Hall.
The children look forward to bidding for these items.

Theme Baskets
~~~
The theme basket auction is a big deal at this event.
$11,335.00 was raised by the sale of these baskets.
I had a special opportunity to take pictures of Dorothy Funderwhite who is 84 years old and has made a Barbie theme basket for this auction the past 10 years.
These two ladies were caring for her. I expect they are her daughters.
These not only have interesting and creative items inside, they are often beautifully decorated.
Tomorrow night – The Food
What a great way for the kids to learn about auctions! Those baskets are gorgeous!
I love watching the kids bidding on items. It is also fun watching the adults bid on the theme baskets. I’ve never purchased one here because they usually sell for high prices.
Yay for Dorothy! That’s wonderful. My mom has the same hair style as she does.
Yes. Yay for Dorothy. I was pleased to be there at that moment an have the opportunity to meet her.
