Thursday, September 15
This is what the inside of the chapel looked like when we arrived on Thursday morning.
Dwayne and Cerwin hooked up the lights and fixtures.
Chaplain Don talking to his wife and telling her what Doris was doing, so I took a picture of him. 🙂
Cerwin installing LED tube lights.
That one works. The local men spent most of the day working on the electric hook up and going for items they needed. It turned into a bigger job than they planned. We had electric in the chapel due to the generator on our truck.
I spent an hour talking to a woman who walked over from the restaurant. She wanted me to pray with her and had lots of questions about the chapel. The general manager brought in several of the truck stop employees.
Doug and Ellen Kraus (TFC Director of Location Development) arrived from Florida, and Dwayne went to the airport to get his wife, Brenda. After work was finished for the day, the six of us went out for supper at T.G.I. Friday’s.
We had a most delightful evening. It has been a long time since we saw Brenda, Doug and Ellen. Dwayne gets to the Marietta office on occasion, so we see him – especially during CTS (chaplain training school).
