Monday, August 8
This is what used to be Cousins’ Week at our house – but it seems that everyone has grown up, gotten married, or have jobs, so we are down to the youngest three grandchildren and are now having Brothers’ Week.
Chuck E Cheese’s was their choice for Monday.
While they used tokens and gathered tickets, I drank coffee and started reading a new book.
I love autobiographies and just heard about Shoe Dog – a memoir by the creator of Nike – and downloaded it on my Nook.
I finished the first two chapters.
Jared and Ian loved hitting the jackpot with this machine.
This made the general manager smile. He teased them by saying – when they get more than 150 tickets they have to share half of them with the GM.
Their loot!
After this we went to Game Stop and bought two used Xbox games. Then we went to A.C. Moore to choose a craft for the week. After that we went through the drive-in at McDonalds. They wanted to get home in a hurry to play their new games, so didn’t want to go inside.
So this is what it looked like at our house for the next few hours.
That was a fun day.
Looks like fun! Your day made me smile!
It made me smile too.
I think I would like hitting the jackpot on that machine, and then wonder what to do with all the tickets — the GM’s idea was a good one!
They had fun with the GM. I was impressed with his management of this business.
