I have lots of pictures of our church’s fundraising tournament on Saturday, April 30.
I am going to post them in 3 entries so the guys, their friends and parents can see the action.
We missed the first two games – because it was early (8:30) and it was a cold morning. We arrived for the 10:30 game.
Grey was playing Retro (the old guys)
Our son Jeff (in camo) was a good husband and built a campfire for Chris.
Bev kept score
The train was popular with the children.
Our granddaughter Jenna (left) holding a friend’s baby while visiting with Emily. Because of the size, I think Jenna may be holding Emily’s Grayson and Emily is holding someone else’s baby.
Most of the funds are raised through food and donations.
This year the funds went to a community family.
There are suggested prices, but the money is put in a donation box.

It is sometimes difficult to know which team to cheer for because everyone is from our church. 🙂 We have three teams: Grey, Red, and Orange. For this day another team is created by using older guys who used to play for one of the teams.
There was a “tiger” sitting next to me.
His brother had a baseball on his face.
This photo was taken by my friend Inge – from TFC – who lives across the street from the park. This is where I stood to take some of the pictures. I tried to stay behind the fence so I didn’t get hit by a ball, but a few times a ball hit the corner post were I was standing.
Our daughter-in-law Chris staying warm next to the fire with her mother and brother David (who played for Retro).
Our grandson-in-law Dustan (Jenna’s husband) is a pitcher for Red.
Our grandson Nathan is head coach for Red. His brother Jordan is his assistant.
It’s nice that our family plays for Red – that way we only have to cheer for one team. 🙂
More tomorrow night.
Was it really warm/dry enough to play baseball? I love the little train made up of little cars!! And that’s a pretty fierce tiger that sat next to you! Thanks to Inge for the photo of you, too! Wonderful family activities!
It was a cool day for those watching but very nice for those playing baseball. Those little trains are popular in our area.
What a nice idea for fund raising and so much enthusiasm. The kids were cute and full of joy. You could work for Sports Illustrated magazine, Doris.
Blessings
Frank
Thank you. 🙂
