The neighbor was turning his grass to dry it for harvest.
The male goldfinches are a brilliant yellow right now.
We had Amos and his helpers here to take down three old pine trees that were getting ragged and spindly.
They fed them into their wood chipper which ate them right up and spit the chips into a box truck.
Tree #2 going down
A few days later Cerwin rented a stump grinder to take care of the stumps.
How sad to see so many trees come down, but it’s wise to do it before they cause problems!
We are planting a few more before long to keep our tree population growing.
Oh, that’s good!!
Oh, yes — and the goldfinches are absolutely stunning — between them and the red cardinals, I’d be out there with my camera for days on end!
It is fun taking pictures right now. 🙂
The bird is beautiful. God’s amazing creation. Nice to see guys working together.
LOVE the summer yellow feathers! 🙂
