After Mother High was moved to the ground level of a personal care unit at Landis Homes, we (her children) asked if she could have a birdfeeder outside her window. They said she could.
At first we took one of our feeders that prevents squirrels from eating the birdseed, but squirrels were the only thing that came to the feeder, so we brought one to encourage the squirrels so she would have something to watch.
This was the day we hung the new feeder – and added a suet feeder.
Since then Mother has seen squirrels (almost every day) and several birds. One day there were three squirrels there at one time.
After visiting with Mother I took a few pictures of decorations on shelves outside residents rooms.
I am blessed by creative people.
so nice for her to be able to watch birds still ~
She gets more squirrels than birds, but she enjoys either one.
