Sunday, Morning December 6
I have lived in our house for the past 48 years, but never get tired of our morning view – especially in wintertime when the fields are empty and I can see the homestead where I grew up.
It looked especially pretty on this foggy, frosty morning.
The sunrise even affected the southwestern sky and neighborhood.
It was a cold morning to be outside in my housecoat.
I love living in the country where nobody sees me outside in my housecoat.
The eastern sky changed by the moment – from grayish pink to orange.
On the patio our roses were covered with heavy frost.
I can’t imagine they will survive this cold morning.
I love a cold, frosty morning.
I like the view in your first picture as it looks like there’s a hawk sitting on the telephone pole. I’m always looking for hawks or eagles.
That does look like a hawk.
We have had frost on the roofs for the last week or two of mornings — it doesn’t seem to settle on the ground, but the roofs have been white until mid-morning several days. That is always my signal that winter has arrived, and it usually lasts for two or three weeks, then we see it only occasionally.
I am surprised that you see any frost there.
On cold, clear days, what little humidity there is turns to frost in the mornings. We don’t get snow except on the mountains, but the frost is always a treat!
I shivered just looking at these photos! They are so lovely
…and your pictures always look so warm.
I am so ready for snow! Our children come this weekend and it is to pour down rain both days ~
Have fun with your children and grandchildren. Ours com on the 26th.
