As we drove in the lane, our guide told us that this tourist stop began when the lady of the house set aside one room of their house to sell quilts, then another, and another. Eventually she told her husband that they needed a separate building, because she wanted her house back.
Our guide said we were welcome to walk in the quilt and craft barn, the dairy barn – anywhere on the property but the house.
Clayton (our guide) showing us how a quillow works as a blanket/cover or as a pillow.
Checking out the interesting clocks.
We learned that this store is supplied by many Amish families.
There must be an Amish preacher in the household, because we learned that when you see an Amish buggy with a sun visor on it, it is owned by a preacher.
There were several horses inside the barn.
The next part of the barn was home to the dairy cows.
I don’t remember what kind of puppies these are, but they were on sale for something just under – or over – $1,000.00.
I think Brianna would have liked to take one home.
Our next stop was Bird-in-Hand Bake Shop – a delicious-smelling place.
Many of us took advantage of the coffee and cappuccino.
As we traveled toward Kauffman’s Fruit Farm & Market, we drove by this white tail deer farm.
These boys got the attention of the hunters on the bus.

More tomorrow night.
I bought some sausage bread while we were in northern Indiana ~ put it in the freezer for Thanksgiving weekend ~
That sounds delicious.
