Saturday, November 7

2 Amish Tour (1)

2 Amish Tour (2)As we drove in the lane, our guide told us that this tourist stop began when the lady of the house set aside one room of their house to sell quilts, then another, and another. Eventually she told her husband that they needed a separate building, because she wanted her house back.

2 Amish Tour (11)Our guide said we were welcome to walk in the quilt and craft barn, the dairy barn – anywhere on the property but the house.

2 Amish Tour (9)There must be an Amish preacher in the household, because we learned that when you see an Amish buggy with a sun visor on it, it is owned by a preacher.
