Sunday, September 20
The music group and some others who were overseeing the day came to the chapel for prayer before the day began.
We had parked the chapel here the night before – after the banquet and truck show.
This was the first time we had the chapel at biker Sunday.
It was fun showing lots of people the chapel, because most of them had never heard about Transport For Christ.
It was ear-splitting to be close to this sound. If I hadn’t cropped this you could see some of the singers holding their ears shut.
Dana Isles & Facedown did a fabulous job of leading in worship.
While they were singing, I walked around the church and parking lot to give you an idea of what we saw.
This is my kind of motorcycle!
There were motorcycles everywhere.
Pastor Lowell Delp sharing the meditation
Testimony of a biker who was paralyzed from the waist down when a pickup truck hit his cycle – when stopped at a traffic light.
This biker was born to a thirteen-year-old girl who had been raped when she was twelve. His grandparents raised him. Growing up was tough for him, and he made a lot of wrong choices before turning his life over to Christ.
Dana Isles sounded so much like Lynda Randal – of Bill Gaither videos – that she was asked to sing “God on the Mountain.”
If you are not familiar with that song – this is Lynda Randal singing it: http://www.bing.com/search?q=lynda+randle+god+on+the+mountain&form=PRUSEN&mkt=en-us&refig=101e22629a354454a4167b5313ae4d8e&filters=ufn%3A%22lynda+randle+god+on+the+mountain%22+sid%3A%228d47ebbd-a092-3921-b9b1-d4798f6f0441%22&qs=MB&pq=god+of+the+mountain&sc=8-19&sp=1&cvid=101e22629a354454a4167b5313ae4d8e
The burning or rubber signified the end of worship.
If you don’t like the smell of burning rubber, you should not be standing where I was.
Then it happened – the pop of a blown out tire.
Announcements and prayer for the meal
There were tables under the big tent – including dessert.
Our friends Calvin and Sharon and Gene and Rose joined us at the chapel.
Children – and some parents – enjoyed the barrel train during the afternoon.
Look what we followed out of the parking lot – my favorite cycle.

It was not our usual Sunday, but I love to worship God with other believers – whether in a regular church setting or in an unusual setting like this.
That’s definitely an unusual setting — and an unusual bike! It looks like a lovely day!
Yes, unusual and lovely.
