Pennsylvania Truck Rally – The Evening Program
Saturday, June 27 Our evening program began with a half-hour concert by The Browns, Le Mars, Iowa. They are without a doubt one of my favorite gospel music groups, and I love when they add an Irish lilt to their songs. We had a great crowd for a cool, rainy evening. Two brothers, a sister, […]
Pennsylvania Truck Rally – Children’s Activities
Saturday, June 27 We were supposed to have a regular climbing wall, but it was not workable when we had to move inside – so this was a nice replacement. Jared going up the wall. This is what it looks like on the other end – the person who is holding the rope for the one climbing […]
Pennsylvania Truck Rally – Auctions, Food, & Vendors
Saturday, June 27 Auctioneer/trucker Dave White selling a gift basket while main auctioneer, Joel Heisey, points out a bidder. One good thing about a rainy day, the auction crowd was larger than usual, and the profit was up $2,000.00 from the previous year. Gift baskets and food sold very well. The children – and their […]
Pennsylvania Truck Rally – Part 2 – The Trucks
Saturday, June 27 Because of the rain, we were pleased that 87 drivers brought their rigs – even though that was a very low number of trucks for our truck rally. As we went throughout the day and many things – except the weather – fell into place, we became assured that God was indeed […]
TFC’s Pennsylvania Truck Rally – Part 1
Friday Evening, June 26 & Saturday Morning, June 27 Those who were looking for Truck Rally pictures probably thought I would never get to these. I usually post pictures in order by the date I took them, and rarely post pictures just a day or so after they happen. If I do, it is on Facebook. […]
Enjoying Hummingbirds
I may have mentioned it before, but I am enjoying the hummingbirds this summer. Since I put out three feeders, I see them every day – many times a day. In previous years – when I had only one feeder – I rarely saw hummingbirds. They make me smile.

Lydia ~ Tea ~ Sunset Extraordinaire
Tuesday, June 23 Our mint tea was getting tall, so I asked our granddaughter Lydia (who was visiting from Maine) if she was interested in pulling the leaves so I could freeze them – instead of letting it go to seed. Shortly after she began working on the tea, I noticed a bird splashing in the birdbath, and thinking it was bathing, […]
Happy Birthday To Our Favorite Roy

Father’s Day Meal
Sunday afternoon, June 21 Our plans were changed slightly during our time at Big Rig Sunday (previous post) as Jere and Kristen had to go to the hospital to be with their adopted seventy-year-old special-needs son who had just been admitted to the hospital. We had been invited for lunch, and since everything was in […]
Big Rig Sunday
Manheim Brethren In Christ Church – Sunday, June 21 This is a day when we have opportunity to tell the young Sunday school classes about trucks and Transport For Christ. Gene (right) told the children about the value of listening to God – and how truckers listen to the sounds of a truck when traveling over the highway. Listening helps a […]
TFC’s Mobile Chapel At ATCA – Macungie – Final Post
Saturday, June 20 We woke up to rain on Saturday morning – heavy rain. Despite the rain, trucks continued to arrive. The weather cleared by 9:00 AM and people began checking out the trucks again. I would guess that this golf cart is owned by a trucker. I was pleased when an old trucker friend (green) […]
