The Gift
We were surprised to receive a package from our granddaughter Lydia. It was from Koinonia Farm where she had been serving on a work camp.
It arrived a few days before she did. Everything is delicious, but the Hickory Smoked Pecans are fabulous.

The Dinner Concert
A friend invited us to sit at the table she had reserved for the Brethren Disaster Relief Auction “Kick-Off Banquet.” This is a fundraiser event to help cover the expenses of the BDRA in September.
The Tribute Quartet was inspiring and delightfully funny.
Duane Ness is retiring as the chairman of the auction and was honored for the many years he served as chairman.

The Hummingbirds
I was always disappointed to have very few hummingbirds, and mentioned it to our daughter Deb. She sad that I would have more hummingbirds if I had more than one feeder. So I bought another one. 🙂
I saw a hummingbird a few minutes after putting out the two feeders.
Now we see them every day – almost every time we look out the window.
They are difficult to photograph because they are always moving.
Thanks, Deb, for that suggestion. I am enjoying our hummingbirds.
What a nice package from Lydia! What fun when they grow up and can send packages to you!
I love the hummingbirds — didn’t know that about having two feeders. I’ll have to try that when all the fuss is over here about repairs, painting, and fumigation!
I was so glad to learn that – to have at least two feeders.
