Sunday Afternoon, May 17
Because we were visiting our family in Maine, I was honored to attend Heather Hade’s bridal shower – given by her family, church, and friends.
Gifts were placed in the corner of the church fellowship hall after the church service, and by the time lunch was finished, other friends began arriving and more packages were added.
The serving tables were reset with items for the shower.
Heather, the bride-to-be (right),and Lydia laugh as they talk about the first game.
Rachel and Heather work on answers.
We were supposed to match Heather’s answers.
Heather’s mother, Tammy, explaining the game.
Heather told us to not come up with traditional answers.
Trying to think of non-traditional answers.
This was a ladies party. The men were visiting upstairs.
It appears like she is writing her name in the provided spaces. 🙂
The winner got to choose something from the gift basket.
For the next game, we had to remember all these kitchen items.
We could not take notes as Rachel called out each individual item.
I didn’t even try to play this game. There were too many young minds in the room.
It appears by this picture that our granddaughter Lydia came in second.
For the next game, we had to figure out what ingredient was in each of these jars.
Each household item was white and included flour, sugar, 10x sugar, baking soda, cake mix, etc.
We were told to work on this game while Heather opened her gifts.
The children loved taking turns delivering the packages to Heather.
Trying to identify the contents in the jars.
Checking to see if shaking helped to identify the contents.
thank you Doris I really appreciatd those pictures. Are you going to the wedding?
No, Joyce, I don’t know them that well. I was at the shower, just because we were visiting. I’m glad you enjoyed the pictures.
What a surprise I had today with an email that directed me to my future granddaughter-in-law”s bridal shower!! Thank you for posting all those pictures. I really felt like I had attended it!!! How nice!
Love, Jean
