Friday evening, May 15
It was a beautiful, calm evening.
There were several signs of beaver in the area.
It was a bit cool in northern Maine, but it was perfectly calm.
At first I thought this was a kayaker, but then we noticed that he was standing on a board.
Notice the cord attached to his leg – that way he won’t loose his board if he falls into the water.
A red-winged blackbird left us know that it was there.
Someone was building a campfire up river.
Then it was time to leave the river and head to Heze’s college dorm.
Showing his mom his dorm number.
Removing the final items that belonged to him.
The sun was setting as we headed back to our motel.
The next day would be Heze’s graduation from college.
These are gorgeous photos, Doris — I particularly love the reflections and the reeds! What a bittersweet time for Heze — I hope he has something good to move toward!
It was a gorgeous evening, with photo opportunities everywhere.
