Monday, April 20
We left Dayton, Ohio, in rain on Monday – the final day of this road trip.
Before long the skies began to clear.
It was still cool and damp when we stopped for our first break.
After many days in the north country, I was delighted to see signs of spring.
Cerwin thought this looked like a large load for a pickup truck.
Can you guess what caught my attention on this truck.
It was good to see the familiar roads of home – and that trees were beginning to get leaves.
The first thing I noticed in our yard were flowers – lots of them.
I enjoyed seeing our garage. I knew Kristen and some friends were using it for scrapbooking while we were gone, so it was fun to see it still set up.
We loved these notes from Jesse.
“Hey, it’s good to be back home again.”
I’m so glad you didn’t have to drive all the way home in that nasty weather — glad it cleared up for you. How nice to come home to spring and all the spring flowers! And to such industry and greetings in the garage!
Kristen enjoyed being able to set up her scrapbooking for two weeks. She asked when we are taking our next trip. 🙂
Glad you had a good trip, and are safely home again.
I love road trips, but it is good to be home. We would have loved to stop in to see you, but we were not in your area.
