We were honored to be invited out to breakfast by our grandson Nathan who was celebrating a new job.
We joined him and his other grandma, Lois, at 6:30 am.
After breakfast Nate went to Hammer Creek Stainless for his last day of work. He is thankful for everything he learned there, but with the business being sold, he chose to go to PBZ INC Metal Fabricating (a Paul B.Zimmerman, Inc. company) where he was offered a great job. His official job title is Sales Engineer.
He started at Hammer Creek Stainless – part-time in eleventh grade – then worked there in twelfth grade as part of the school’s co-op program. That means he has been there four years and nine months.
Brilliant male cardinals are always nice to see on gray winter days.
Juncos aren’t as pretty, but are still welcome at my frozen bird bath.
Thanks, Nathan, for making our day special.
Congratulations on a new job — that sounds like a wise decision to move! I love the photos of the birds on the frozen birdbath — I hope their poor feet don’t freeze to the ice! And the cardinal is beautiful in his red finery!
I am anxious to hear how his new job is going. I find it amazing that tiny birds do not freeze in frigid weather.
What a lovely invitation. All the food looks so yummy. I pray he is successful in his new job.
Yes. Yes. Thanks.
