We awoke to a certain “country scent” in the air after manure was spread on the field next to our house.
Thankfully we did not smell it indoors.
It is interesting that God created birds to love this kind of thing.
That way, the corn and grain that was eaten by the cows becomes food for the crows.
I enjoyed seeing a farmer’s sheep as I traveled to the post office.
Sheep always make me think about Psalm 23.
This was the scene directly across from the sheep pasture.
There is a lot of pretty winter scenery around here this winter.
Beautiful, Doris! For all the snow across the street, the sheep field seems to be melting pretty fast — or do they spread the manure over the snow?
I think we have more snow in our area than where the sheep pasture is a few miles from our house. Yes, they spread the manure on top of the snow.
We have a farmer near us who has a very large herd of sheep and I like to watch them. I came across this website today and thought you might enjoy it — a cam on an Eagle’s nest near you in Hanover, PA. http://www.portal.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt?open=514&objID=1592549&mode=2
Yes, that camera on the Eagle’s nest is quite popular in our area these days, especially when it snow.
