Snow seems to be the theme for our weekends in recent weeks – and for many days during the week.
Cerwin opened our driveway before church in the morning.
Toward evening I went outside to take a picture of the sunset.
This is what I saw when I looked up.
The sky was quite clear – opposite of the morning snow.
The sun set without a lot of fanfare, but was still quite pretty.
such a lovely sliver of moon ~ 🙂
It was so brilliant that it needed to be photographed.
We’ve had rainy/drizzly days each weekend, too — not cold enough to snow, but keeps us indoors for the weekend. Those are beautiful shots of the moon, and a lovely sunset!
I suppose rain is good for your area. It was easy to take a good shot of the moon as it was so bright.
We’re getting about 1/2 inch of rain from each storm — far from enough to break the drought, but every drop helps! The snow-pack in the Sierra Nevadas was measured today at about 1/3 of its normal for this time of year — that’s where most of our water comes from. The Feds have indicated that the farmers in the central part of the State will receive none of their allocation this year, and there is talk of raising rates rather drastically.
I thought you were still in drought.
