I enjoy watching birds on snowy days.
I will never understand how a tiny bird does not freeze to death when the temperature is near zero.
I am fascinated with bare branches and tattered leaves this time year.
By mid winter, the few leaves that still cling to branches are frayed and tattered.
I especially notice them on clear, cold days as I look up to the sky when walking through our yard.
They look kind of dreary and hopeless.
But there is life in those branches and spring is coming.
