Following A Sunset
One evening I noticed a beautiful sunset about to happen as we drove to Landis Homes to visit Cerwin’s Mother, and took pictures of the process as we traveled. The sky continually changed as we went over hills and around corners.
Feeling Blessed
Last week one day my sister, Nancy, delivered a plate of cookies to us. She and her daughters make the best cookies. My favorite are the sugar cookies (you can see one under the camel’s front foot) and the raisin filled to the left of the sugar cookie. A few days later we found this […]
Happy Birthday To Our Favorite Gloria
We love you! Grandpa & Grandma
I was just thinking…
Each of us wake up to beautiful sunrises on many mornings during our lifetime. They are available for each person to enjoy from God free whether we are rich or poor live in a mansion or a hut for our pleasure. They are there whether we appreciate them or not. The Lord is a great God, and […]

Motorcycle Hearse For Our Friend Wendell
Today was the funeral for our friend Wendell. It was fun and sad. Fun to hear favorite memories and sad to know it was our earthly goodbye to him. We first met him in the early ’70s when we began attending Lancaster Transport For Christ meetings. He is the first person from our area to […]
Lunch & Deer Kisses
Sunday, December 7 Yesterday – after church – we had lunch with Roy and Deb at RD’s, a restaurant near their house I took the first two pictures just after prayer – during which Deb had the giggles because of something I said. We were holding hands and I could feel her body shaking with laughter […]
Aunt Bertha’s Funeral
Saturday, December 6 This is the best picture I have of Cerwin’s Aunt Bertha – from an evening in 2009 when we visited her and Uncle John. I enjoyed listening to her laugh, but she looks a bit serious In this photo as she listens to Uncle John tell us one of many interesting stories from the […]
Sunset Thoughts
November 23 Sunset Today I was thinking… Why do winter sunsets seem extra pretty? Maybe it’s because everything else is bleak and brown. Fields are empty of crops and there are no leaves on the trees. Maybe that’s why winter sunsets seem so pretty. Today we learned about the death of our friend Wendell Boyle. […]
Surprised
Today, after delivering nine trays of mail to the post office and taking care of some business at Landis Homes, Cerwin and I visited Uncle John, whose wife, Bertha, died on Monday. Then we went to the next building to see Cerwin’s mother. I noticed on the calendar that Mount Calvary Church was giving a program in East Bethany Chapel. We asked Mother if she […]
Leaves Of Winter
Can you tell that life has slowed down for me a bit as Cerwin has spent much of the past few weeks hunting. My pictures involve sunsets, birds, and weather. 🙂 Since I began putting Bible verses and thoughts on photos, I have been looking for new ideas. I took these pictures on November 15. […]
