Yesterday – after church – we had lunch with Roy and Deb at RD’s, a restaurant near their house
I took the first two pictures just after prayer – during which Deb had the giggles because of something I said. We were holding hands and I could feel her body shaking with laughter – so I slapped her hand. 🙂 In this picture I think Roy is saying, “You did what?”
Then Deb stole some of my French fries. Yes, we had a fun lunch. I had a delicious brisket sandwich.
The four of us shared two delicious crème brulees for dessert.
After lunch we went to visit the place where Bucky, Jarrett, and Annabelle live.
You may remember when Bucky and Jarrett were brought to Deb as orphaned, newborn fawns. Annabelle was raised by another rehabber until she was large enough to live in this fenced-in area.
The person who lives here also cares for ducks. Deb recently brought one here that was brought to her with a broken wing.
There are also guinea hens and a wild turkey. They have the run of the wooded area, but come back here to eat and sleep.
Bucky and Jarrett are now button bucks.
Annabelle is a pretty young doe.
I don’t know the boys apart in pictures. In person I can tell them apart because Bucky is a bit larger.
If you lean down, you will get smothered with kisses.
“No, you may not lick the camera.”
If you give them opportunity, they will even style your hair.
The last few pictures are from Deb – as well as some of the previous ones.
It was so much fun having you down and glad you enjoyed your “deer kisses”. They are very happy babies.
It was fun. And I enjoyed the deer kisses.
How great that the deer are so friendly and loving! They really have grown up! How rewarding for Deb!
I am glad for Deb and Roy that she could place the deer at a safe place nearby.
