I heard machinery outside and noticed that the soybeans across the road were being harvested.
Someone had recently asked me to do some harvest photos for their business, so I thought this was a great opportunity.
While waiting for the soybean harvester to get to the truck, I noticed corn harvest equipment coming up the road – heading to a neighbor’s field.
I like this picture of our home farm from the field.
There were a few unshelled soybeans nearby, So I opened the shells to see what they look like at harvest.
I love living in the country too. Or at least near it.
I thought you had corn across the street — is that a second farm, or an alternating crop, or was I completely mistaken? It’s amazing to me that they can harvest the field and separate the grain from the rest of the plant all with one machine (or is that also an illusion?)! Remember — I’m a city girl!
There was corn everywhere but that field.
Loved this post. We have soybean fields in our area but I’ve never seen them being harvested. That’s quite a machine! I love the country too!
Thanks. It is fun to watch the harvest of all crops.
