Monday Evening, September 22
It is difficult for me to not go outside with my camera when the sky is pretty.
As I crossed the road to get away from the power lines, I noticed the neighbor’s soybeans glowing in the evening sun.
This field is not quite dry enough for harvest.
To add to the beauty, there was the sound of a plane in the air.
Pretty sunsets are a peaceful diversion at the end of a day when the world is full of the noise of war and disease.
An absolutely wonderful diversion! I wrote a friend last night, listing 11 items and asking if there is any good news these days! I found a glimmer of hope this evening in the fact that the herons are beginning to return to their trees, but a sunset like this would have been magnificent!
Amen to that! But I guess we should be surprised because the Bible says there will be wars and rumors of wars and devastating diseases as we approach the return of Christ.
