It was a beautiful, warm evening when we noticed rain coming from the southwest.
Before long we could see a definite line as the rain approached us.
I stood under the roof that extends beyond our house and enjoyed the beautiful, rainy atmosphere.
After going back in the house, I “felt” the rainbow before I saw it because of the outside glow.
To see the full rainbow, I had to walk down the road a bit, because the trees in our yard hid it.
It isn’t unusual to see a rainbow in our area, but seeing one two nights in a row is a bit unusual.
My goodness — that’s like a curtain of rain! And it looks like there’s more coming in that last shot! Is that all corn in the foreground? What a beautiful post!
It was fascinating to watch the curtain of rain. Yes, that is corn in the foreground – and I think it grew an entire foot in the past week.
That sounds like the kind of growth that I understand you can actually hear — or did the sound of the rain drown out the sound of the growth of the corn?
🙂 It has been amazing. I need to take a picture, but I am sure that the corn below our yard is now taller than us.
