Monday Evening, July 7
Irene and Jana waiting for Roy to arrive at RD’s American Grill for his birthday supper.
Irene is an exchange student from Spain, and is spending several weeks with Jere and Kristen’s family.
When Hunter and Jesse heard that Roy had arrived, they hid behind the door and jumped out at him when he walked in the room.
Visiting while we wait for our food.
It looks like Sterling and Roy are taking selfies. 🙂
Jesse loved his “octopus” hotdog.
The waitresses surprised Roy by bringing him a cake and singing Happy Birthday.
We soon learned that they included trick candles that re-lit.
He eventually put them out by sticking the flame in the icing.
Jesse and Hunter enjoyed holding Roy and Deb’s brand new rescued raccoon. Her eyes just opened, but she is not yet able to see.
Deb named her Irene after our new friend from Spain.
Back home – I couldn’t resist doing a photo shoot of our daisies.
Happy birthday to Roy (and to little raccoon Irene!) . It looks like a lovely party, and how fun to have Irene (both of them) with you! And the daisies are lovely too!
It was a fun party!
Awwww..happy Birthday to Roy!! Thanks for sharing the lovely party.
Thanks, and you are welcome.
Beautiful daisies. Happy Birthday to Roy. I think it’s great that Jere and Kristen have an exchange student from Spain. I’m sure being with your family will give her an entirely new perspective on life in America. Do you know if Irene is 100% Spanish or if there are other nationalities mixed in? She looks a lot like my niece who grew up in Spain, but is Colombian. Her dad grew up in Colombia but is Lebanese. That is a great way to show someone your love for Jesus. Oh, and the baby raccoon is so cute.
I do not know her ancestry?
I just love your pictures of the daises. They are so beautiful!
Thank you!
