The other day I enjoyed watching this pretty female finch picking at sunflower seeds in the feeder outside our kitchen window.
She is ordinary, not brilliant like some birds, but I still enjoyed observing her.
She has little tufts on her head.
I can’t decided if they are unique to her or if she just has a few wayward feathers.
She knew I was there, but continued eating ~ after making sure I wasn’t getting any closer.
I am fascinated by feather patterns.
I rarely watch a finch without being reminded of how God cares for the birds.

Look at the birds!
They don’t worry about what to eat—they don’t need to sow or reap or store up food—for your heavenly Father feeds them.
And you are far more valuable to him than they are.
Matthew 6:26 The Living Bible
Those are lovely feather patterns!
I agree.
Gorgeous close-ups!
Thanks!
