Shortly after horns began blaring at 1:30 p.m., the first truck went by us.
Our friend Marv Sauder was in the second truck.
This clown had an open air ride.
Definitely one of the most interesting “rigs” in the convoy.
We were the 30th truck – right behind Lapp Electric.
I could not find an official count of rigs in the convoy, but read somewhere that there were 350.
A sight through my rear-view mirror.
The following pictures are of me watching the people who were watching us on the fourteen-mile drive.
Clowns collecting money for Make-A-Wish – which is the purpose of the convoy – to raise funds.
Ephrata was filled with convoy watchers.
We eventually met the end of the convoy as we returned to Lancaster.
And it looks like a wonderful parade of trucks, too! I love the photosof the people watching you — particularly of the families sitting in fields!
It was fun watching them watching us.
