Kristen had the tables beautifully decorated with flowers and Easter items.
These beautiful eggs belonged to Gregg’s mother.
Gregg has been handicapped since childhood, is now in his sixties and legally adopted by Jere and Kristen. His parents died in recent years.
Gregg is in a group home, but loves Easter and was looking forward to being here – the reason Kristen displayed the eggs ~ but due to medical issues he had to spend Easter in the hospital.
Kristen was hoping that he would recognize the eggs.
Dessert included candy, cake, and chocolate covered strawberries.
A beautiful, delicious cake baked and decorated by Jana.
Jere and Kristen asked their children to pose for a picture before they changed to more casual clothing.
Pretty spring flowers on the deck.
Jared wanted to show us his pogo stick skills before we went home.
They were our Easter gift from the family ~ but he was the one who chose them at the store.
Thanks, Jere, Kristen, Josh, Jana, Ian, Jared, and Jesse. We had a delightful afternoon.
It made my heart smile today, Doris, to read about your Easter, your family, their care of others, and the wonderful hospitality they show! Those strawberries look delicious as well as beautiful! And Jana did a beautiful job on the cake!
Thanks. Everything was beautiful and delicious.
Thanks for coming Mother and Daddy. I love to cook for my family.
Your love of cooking and family is very evident. 🙂
Ian looks like his grandmother.
Interesting. Sometimes I think he looks like my Dad.
