Monday ~ February 3
Our crepe myrtle bush shortly after 9 a.m.
Notice how much heavier the snow is just over an hour later.
It was so much fun to photograph this snow.
It’s been a long time since we had a snow this heavy and pretty.
Because everything was covered with snow, there were always birds at our feeders.
This one was popular as I keep it under the roof and close to the house.
A neighbor slid into our yard when trying to turn around in our driveway.
Our red maple tree is no longer red.
Branches were heavy with the beautiful white stuff.
Our wood lot isn’t usually this pretty in wintertime.
ahhhh yes ~ the birds! love the bright yellow in the snow ~ that’s a bit unusual for me to see ~ ::)
Our goldfinches are just beginning to turn yellow.
Beautiful bird pictures. I keep trying to get one of the woodpecker who comes for the suet, but he scares easily. We had more varieties of birds at our old house. I wonder if it was because we had a lot of good-sized bushes growing near the house, and now we don’t?
Thanks. Birds do like trees and bushes.
