We were up early to travel the one-and-a-half hours it takes to get to Harleysville, Pennsylvania, for the Bucks-Montgomery Chapter’s 8:00 a.m. prayer breakfast and Christmas brunch.
I enjoy seeing the Christmas decorations throughout Henning’s large grocery store and the mezzanine where the breakfast is held.
I notice that I got plenty of pictures of the sausage and bacon, but don’t have any of the delicious fresh fruit bowl.
Paul Fehr and his daughter Margie sang several Christmas and Gospel songs. Margie’s son usually sings with them, but he was sick this morning. However, God blessed her with an especially strong voice today. She is in a wheel chair from a combination of MS and Lyme’s Disease.
Following their songs, Cerwin and I showed pictures and told about the delivery of this year’s two chapels – Calgary, Alberta, and Hudson, Wisconsin. You can see the first picture of our PowerPoint presentation behind Paul and Margie.
After we finished, Bunny O’Hare, Director of Pastoral Care for Chaplains, gave a ministry update from the International Perspective, the Fehr’s sang two more songs, and Sam Rittenhouse, Assistant Director of Pastoral Care for Chaplains, took the prayer requests and closed with prayer.
We were blessed!
It was especially delightful to have Inge Koenig, Executive Assistant to the President/Editor, Highway News & Good News, travel with us.
