The day began with a beautiful sunrise.
I enjoyed watching several birds eating their Thanksgiving breakfast.
Later in the morning we went to church for our annual testimony of praise service. This is when several microphones are set up throughout the sanctuary and the audience is responsible for the program.
It was interesting to hear from those who shared their reasons for being thankful this year
Because Jere and Kristen enjoy the tradition of cooking Thanksgiving dinner, our family is invited to their house each year.
It didn’t suit everyone, but those who were there enjoyed a delicious meal and a wonderful visit.
Jana helped her parents by filling the water glasses.
I only photographed a few of the delicious things on their lunch menu: dinner rolls, pumpkin bread, turkey, bread filling, mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, baked corn, green beans, roasted brussels sprouts, cranberry relish, olives, pumpkin pie, and apple pie.
They make a delicious, moist turkey.
Kristen roasted the brussels sprouts with butter and nuts. They were delicious.
The pumpkin pie was so delicious that I didn’t even add any whipped cream. I didn’t want to distort the wonderful taste.
Those at the meal: Deb, Jana, Roy, Cerwin, Josiah, Allie, Josh, Jere, Kristen, Greg (their handicapped, adopted son who lives in a group home), Jared, Jesse, and Ian.
Jana and Roy being silly. (As you can see, it is not Jana who is being silly.) 🙂

The children enjoyed their new Duck Dynasty hats.
We are thankful for our family – and the fun we had together today.
