Closing program for the day – the Grandstand Show
The evening program was not all according to my taste or likes, but it was certainly an elaborate celebration.
These guys sang acapella bebop.
There were lots of fireworks – and because we were in the upper level, the fireworks were straight across from us at times. We didn’t even have to look up.
Some performances were done in the air – dangling from wires and cords.
These twin artists were amazing.
These artists were from Beijing.
Even the pianist was supported by cables and wires.
It appears that there are people inside – operating these horses.
The closing fireworks were the best we have ever seen.
What an interesting day. Now we can say that we have experienced the Calgary Stampede!
What an interesting mix of acts! Did you use a tripod for your fireworks shots?
No, I just held the camera. It was a very interesting mix. There were a few others that I didn’t photograph because my view of the stage was sometimes hindered. I didn’t have any problem with those in the air or on the back part of the stage.
