Today – Sunday, June 30
Gloria, Jana, and Diana helped us decorate and set the tables on Saturday afternoon.
It was a beautiful, peaceful Saturday evening in our neighborhood where the corn is growing tall.
It was so nice that I didn’t have to do any food preparation for this party.
Deb hired Sabrina, George, and Eileen Heller who must have been quite busy the past few days.
Sabrina is dating our grandson Nathan and wants to get into catering.
George and Eileen are her parents.
Sabrina giving Jana, Diana, and Gloria instructions on serving hoursederves.
Surprising Roy! That’s his mom giving him a hug.
The buffet lunch was served in our kitchen.
There were hot dogs and chips for the kids.
The smoked steak – by George – was amazing!
Nate helped prepare the creme brulee for serving while Sabrina’s youngest brother Geoffrey and dad looked on.
You can tell that reaching fifty has really matured Roy. 🙂
However, he does have another week to mature. His birthday is actually July 7.
We sang happy birthday to Jesse first – as this was his actual birthday.
Roy thought that is why he was coming to our house – for Jesse’s birthday party.
Nathan used the torch to light candles.
Jesse was quite pleased to have a lot of attention on his birthday.
Lititz Family Cupboard did a fabulous job on his cake. These are Roy and Deb’s pets and rescued animals.
There were many more visitors for the afternoon – 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.
I took this picture of Josiah – especially for his mom. 🙂
Roy opening his cards and gifts.
It was a perfect day, thank you so much Mom.
You are welcome.
thanks mom! from Josiah’s mom
I love your “party” pictures. You all have so much yummy food. Roy’s cake was so adorable!! Such a blessing you have family so close.
Thanks
Happy birthday to Jesse and to Roy — Jesse has a whole lifetime ahead of him, and Roy maybe a half lifetime — but Roy has plenty of time to grow up! 50 is a wonderful birthday — time to reflect on what you’ve accomplished, and time to plan the rest of your life. It looks like a wonderful party for both “birthday boys!”
